We asked. People got honest.
A year of our own research and surveys.
struggle to express themselves clearly during conflict
avoid difficult conversations altogether
prefer writing to real-time confrontation
The conversations we avoid don’t disappear.
Unspoken conflict accumulates quietly, in families, partnerships, and friendships, and it shapes our health more than almost anything else in our lives. Yet nothing has ever been designed for the moment a conversation feels too hard to have.
Family is the hardest
Most people say family relationships are the most emotionally complex to navigate. The people closest to us often receive our least careful communication.
Want help, need safety
Would use a digital tool for hard conversations if privacy and genuine guidance were guaranteed. Both conditions, not one or the other.
Platforms built for this
Therapy platforms require a mediator. Wellness apps end where relationships begin. Nothing was built for the conversations themselves.
Since 1938, the longest-running study of adult life has returned the same finding, decade after decade: the quality of our close relationships is the strongest predictor of long-term health and happiness.
Stronger than wealth. Stronger than your cholesterol panel. Which makes the way we speak to each other a matter of health.

A slower, safer way to say what matters.
Roonify slows the conversation down so you can respond with clarity instead of reaction. It’s not therapy, and it doesn’t replace it. It’s structured practice for how you communicate.
Begin in private
Every conversation starts in a space that belongs only to you. Write freely, without judgment and without any pressure to share before you're ready.
Practice with guidance
Roonify helps you notice the patterns that derail conversations, like defensiveness, blame, and escalation, and offers clearer ways to say what you mean, in your own voice.
Share when you're ready
Review your words and reflect on the feedback. Then invite one person into a private space designed for repair, or send a letter meant to be read in full. You set the pace.
Where communication becomes a practice.
Communication is a skill that improves with deliberate practice,
and Roonify gives that practice a structure.
Daily Practice
A few minutes each day: notice a pattern in how you communicate, understand the mechanic behind it, practice a better one, and see how it lands. Small, consistent, cumulative.
Solo Circles
The private side of the work. Freewrite what you can't yet say, rehearse a conversation before you have it, and reshape a difficult message in the Reframe Lab.
1:1 Circles & The Letter
When you're ready, invite one person in. A guided, invite-only space for the conversation itself, or a letter for the things that deserve to be read in full, not interrupted.
Relational Vitals
Five measures of how you communicate, from repair to honest expression. Track your relational health and watch it strengthen as your practice deepens.
Family, Group, and Team Circles. For the conversations that take more than two people.
Trust, built into the architecture.
Honesty requires safety. Rather than asking you to take our word for it, we designed the safeguards into how Roonify works.
Invite-only
No one enters a Circle unless you invite them. No public feeds, no discovery, no strangers. Every space you open stays yours.
Encrypted on your device
Your entries are encrypted at rest with client-side encryption, and our staff never read your messages.
Raw content discarded
Analysis runs through zero-retention-friendly providers, and only de-identified, encrypted signals are ever kept.
Built-in pauses
Cool-down periods before sending help you respond rather than react, so the heat of the moment never decides for you.
And everything runs on consent. Nothing is shared without your explicit permission.
For the conversations you’ve been putting off.
A family conflict. A relationship that needs repair. The conversation you keep rehearsing in your head. Or nothing at all, just the sense you could talk better. Roonify meets you wherever you start, because relational health compounds into a longer, happier life.
“I need to tell my mom how her words affected me. But I freeze every time.”
Draft it, reflect on it, and share when you’re ready, with guidance that catches defensiveness before it derails the message.
“My partner and I keep having the same fight. We just can’t hear each other.”
A slower, guided space for the dialogue, so both people feel heard without the escalation of real-time conflict.
“I want to reconnect with my sibling. I don’t know where to start.”
Start on your own. Reflect. When you’re ready, reach out through a private, no-pressure entry point designed for repair.
“Nothing is broken. I just know we could talk better.”
You don’t need a crisis to start. Daily Practice builds the skill a few minutes at a time, the same way you’d train any other part of your health.
“I’m a therapist. I wish my clients had a tool to practice between sessions.”
Roonify extends the work into daily life, giving clients a safe space to rehearse healthier communication on their own time. Learn about Roonify for Providers →
Common questions.
What is Roonify?
Roonify is a privacy-first relational health platform. It gives people a structured, private way to prepare for the conversations that matter in their closest relationships, and to hold them well: through daily practice, private writing and rehearsal, and guided one-to-one spaces, with guidance grounded in clinical research. Some members use it to navigate a specific situation. Many use it as an ongoing practice, because communication is a skill, and among the most consequential parts of health.
Is Roonify therapy?
No. Roonify is not therapy and does not replace professional mental health care. It is a practice platform for communication: structured, private, and guided, but not clinical treatment. It does not diagnose, treat, or advise on mental health conditions, and it is designed to sit comfortably alongside professional care rather than substitute for it.
Is my data private?
Privacy on Roonify is built as a set of mechanisms rather than a promise. The platform is invite-only. Entries are encrypted on your device with client-side encryption, and our staff never read your messages. Analysis runs through zero-retention-friendly providers; raw content is discarded afterward, and only the de-identified, encrypted signals that power your experience, such as your patterns and progress over time, are kept. Nothing is shared without your explicit permission.
Who is Roonify for?
Anyone who wants to communicate better with the people who matter to them, whether that means working through a specific conflict with family, a partner, a sibling, a friend, or a coworker, or simply strengthening how they handle everyday conversation. It is also designed to work alongside professional care, as a between-session practice tool for providers and their clients.
When can I use it?
Roonify is currently in private pilot, with public launch planned for later this year. Access opens gradually and by invitation; requesting early access above places you on the list, and we reach out as spots open.
Communication is part of health. It’s time we treated it that way.
Roonify is in private development. We’re inviting early members who believe the way we speak to each other deserves the same care as every other part of health.
Private. Invitation-only during early access. Built with intention.
You’ll also get Inside Roonify, our newsletter. Leaving takes one click. We believe in healthy goodbyes.
