Cookie Policy
Last Updated: July 19, 2026
The Short Version
Roonify uses cookies and similar browser storage needed to sign you in, protect your account, remember interface state, and provide features you ask for. With your permission, we also use analytics technologies to understand how people use our website. We do not use advertising, marketing, or social-media tracking cookies.
On your first visit, you can accept or decline optional analytics. You can change that choice at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar browser features, including local storage, can remember information on your device without sending it with every request. This policy covers both.
What Roonify Uses
- Authentication and security. Session information keeps you signed in and helps protect access to your account.
- Interface state. Browser storage can remember choices such as whether a panel is open, whether an introduction was dismissed, or where you left off in a feature.
- Features you use. Some product features keep temporary or local state on your device so they work as expected.
- Optional website analytics. If you accept analytics, we load Google Tag Manager so we can measure general website usage and improve the site.
Analytics may include pages viewed, links clicked, referral source, browser and device information, and an approximate geographic region derived from network information. We do not use these technologies to build an advertising profile or follow you across unrelated websites.
Your Choices
Optional analytics are disabled unless you select Accept. Selecting Decline leaves only essential technologies enabled. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a rejection of optional analytics automatically.
You can reopen the consent panel at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer. You can also inspect, delete, or block cookies and site data in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other product features from working. Clearing local storage may reset saved interface state and your saved consent choice on that device.
Google's handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.
Browser controls are available in the following common locations:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Third-party cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security
- Safari: Settings > Privacy
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services
How Long Browser Data Is Kept
Session cookies may expire when you sign out or after a defined session period. Other essential cookies and local browser state remain only as long as needed for their purpose, until they expire, or until you clear them in your browser. Your consent choice remains in local browser storage until you change it or clear the site's data. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics services configured through Google Tag Manager.
If This Policy Changes
We will update this page before introducing additional categories of tracking technology. If a future change requires consent, we will ask for it before enabling that technology.
